Environmental Commitment: Leading the Way in Sustainability at National Industries

At National Industries, our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility is central to our operations. We continuously strive to minimize our ecological footprint, enhance resource efficiency, and promote sustainable development across every aspect of our business. Our efforts are guided by ambitious targets and initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental impact, ensuring that we remain a responsible steward of the environment.

Environmental Impact

National Industries is determined to significantly reduce its environmental footprint, particularly in terms of water consumption. One of our key objectives is to reduce net water intensity by 40% by the fiscal year 2025, as compared to 2020 levels. This initiative aims to save over 15 million cubic meters of water annually, contributing to both environmental preservation and operational efficiency. Our advanced water recycling and conservation techniques ensure that we utilize resources in a sustainable manner, helping to conserve one of the planet’s most

Environmental Commitment
Carbon Footprint Reduction

Carbon Footprint Reduction

Reducing our carbon footprint is another critical area of focus for National Industries. Currently, we have successfully implemented initiatives that enable the reuse of 70% of our industrial waste, including approximately 0.7 million tons of by-products. Notably, we have achieved over 100% reuse of fly ash, a by-product of our manufacturing processes, demonstrating our commitment to reducing waste and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. By diverting significant amounts of waste from landfills and reusing materials in our production cycles, we are contributing to a more circular economy, minimizing our impact on the environment.

Waste Recycling

In the fiscal year 2023, National Industries processed and recycled 1 million tons of aluminum scrap, furthering our commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices. Recycling aluminum scrap not only conserves energy and reduces emissions but also helps us minimize the extraction of raw materials. This aligns with our goal of promoting a more resource-efficient production process, while contributing to the reduction of global waste levels.

Biodiversity Conservation

Biodiversity Conservation

At National Industries, we understand the importance of biodiversity conservation as part of our environmental stewardship. We are proud to have established 90 hectares of greenbelt, providing a habitat for native species and contributing to the overall health of local ecosystems. Each year, we plant over 200,000 trees, reinforcing our commitment to reforestation and the preservation of biodiversity. These efforts not only enhance the environmental landscape surrounding our facilities but also help mitigate the impacts of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

A Vision for a Sustainable Future

ESG Commitments

Achieving Zero Net Carbon by 2040

As part of our long-term sustainability strategy, National Industries is committed to achieving zero net carbon emissions by 2040. This ambitious goal will be realized through a combination of energy-efficient technologies, sustainable manufacturing practices, and investments in renewable energy. By transitioning to cleaner energy sources and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, we aim to significantly reduce our carbon emissions over the coming decades.

No Net Loss of Biodiversity by 2040

In line with our commitment to environmental preservation, we aim to achieve no net loss of biodiversity by 2040. This involves not only conserving existing ecosystems but also restoring and enhancing biodiversity in areas affected by our operations. Through reforestation, habitat conservation, and the creation of green spaces, we are working to protect the planet’s natural heritage for future generations.

Becoming Five Times Water Positive

Water is a critical resource, and at National Industries, we are focused on becoming five times water positive by 2040. This means that for every unit of water we consume, we will return five units of water to the environment through water conservation, recycling, and community water projects. Our efforts will ensure that our operations have a positive impact on water resources, contributing to the availability of clean water for future generations.

Sourcing 100% of Electricity from Renewable Energy by 2040

A key element of our sustainability strategy is transitioning to 100% renewable energy for our electricity needs by 2040. By leveraging solar, wind, and other clean energy sources, we aim to significantly reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to the global effort to combat climate change. Our renewable energy transition will play a critical role in achieving our zero net carbon goals.

Achieving Zero Waste to Landfill by 2040

National Industries is committed to eliminating waste sent to landfills by 2040. Through innovative waste management practices, increased recycling, and material reuse, we aim to divert all waste from landfills, ensuring that our operations are fully sustainable. This goal is a crucial part of our vision for a circular economy, where materials are continuously reused, minimizing waste and resource depletion.

Ensuring Zero Harm to Occupational Health and Safety

As part of our ESG commitments, we place the highest priority on the health and safety of our employees. Our goal is to achieve zero harm to occupational health and safety by 2040. We are investing in advanced safety technologies, comprehensive training programs, and fostering a culture of safety across all our operations. Ensuring the well-being of our workforce is not just a commitment; it is an integral part of our values as a responsible and ethical organization.
